Copper Mountain, CO - Team Troy Lee Designs Honda's Jeff Ward rode four first-place finishes in this weekend's doubleheader at Copper Mountain, CO, to stand alone atop the AMA Supermoto series standings.

After two rounds, the defending champion had not won a race but stormed to win the holeshot and went unchallenged in Day One's first race. Ward surrendered the race two holeshot to CHM Exhaust Honda's Cassidy Anderson, but kept on his heels until taking over the lead in lap two – cruising to yet another commanding victory.

Day Two pretty much offered up the same plate, as Ward was challenged early – this time by JST Racing/Motostrano.com Honda’s Massimilliano Gazzarata (who scored the holeshot in race one), Team Troy Lee Honda's Chris Fillmore and Travis Pastrana – before settling down to win by 4.937 seconds over teammate Fillmore.

Ward capped off a perfect weekend by pouncing to an early lead in race two, followed by Gazzarata. Both kept their respective positions to the end. Fillmore would take the checkers in third.

It was a pretty successful weekend for the Red Riders, as six Hondas took top-ten positions in Sunday's races. With their impressive showing, five Honda riders are in the top ten of the series standings: Ward in first with 171 points, Fillmore third (122), Anderson fourth (102), Alex Thiebault seventh (101) and Gary Trachy tenth (75).

The series next heads to Motor City Motorplex in Nashville, TN, for Round 5 action on September 24.
